American Honda's U.S. sales jumped 4.8 percent in June behind strong results at its light-truck lineup.

Overall, Honda Motor Co.'s light-truck sales rose 12 percent to a June record of 78,483. Car deliveries dropped 2.4 percent.

Going into the last week of June, Acura said approximately 70 percent of 2019 RDX sales were all-wheel-drive models. And top-of-the-line A-Spec and Advance trims accounted for 50 percent of RDX sales as of late June. Acura executives also say the RDX is capturing conquest sales from European brands as intended.
